Need more storage?

You can always add more FireNAS™ 1U units to your network as you would any NAS. However, because we have the FireWire ports, you can install the first FireNAS™ 1U on your Ethernet network, then use the FireWire ports to daisy chain up to 63 more FireNAS™ 1U units to the systems.

By using the FireWire storage backbone, these additional storage units are “out of band” as far as your Ethernet network is concerned; they’re not tying up network resources or requiring more routers or switches.
